Background: Multinational corporation seeking to establish a new office in US and transfer an employee from India operation on an L-1A.
My work: Skyfer's employee couldn't be qualified under L-1A category due to company's inability to pay the required "executive or managerial" salary. In addition, Skyfer wasn't properly set up in the US to sponsor the needed L-1B. We provided strategic guidance to the company to get it "immigration ready". We made sure that the company had physical office space, an employee that would act as signatory, bank accounts, organizational charts, contracts with its affiliates abroad, etc. Once that was in place, we were able to petition for a Logistics Specialist in the L-1B category

Who: Hend / Harkawik Gallery
Background: O-1 for Hend, an up and coming painter of Egyptian descent, in residence at an art institute in the Netherlands. Harkawik Gallery, NYC sponsored Ms. Hend as her US based agent in order to have her present at several art gallery opening featuring her work in multiple cities. In addition, Ms. Samir wanted to take up residency with an affiliated gallery in Florida
My work: Strategy, preparation, drafting and submission of O-1 packet. Both client (the gallery owner and the artist) needed a lot of hand-holding throughout this process. We were able to successfully navigate the demands and the nuances of this case.

Who: American Traffic and Street Signs Co
Background: ATS filed a Labor Cert for an employee prior to 2001. Due to immigration delays, etc, the Labor Cert was certified several years after the initial filing. I-140 was filed, however the company underwent a merger creating issues with the I-140. Company received faulty legal advice on how to proceed and dropped the process.
My work: I entered the picture 10 years later and was able to successfully refile the PERM, combine it with 245(i) to help the principal employee adjust status. Used CSPA to successfully help the adult children adjust as well. All are now citizens.
Result: PERM approved
