Background: The client self-prepared and submitted an E-2 visa petition as the principal investor to USCIS and received a Request for Evidence in response. The Request for Evidence asserted that the client had failed to establish that the monies employed to purchase the business enterprise in the United States originated from lawful sources and that the client had failed to link the source of the invested monies to the business acquisition.
My work: Detailed financial and legal documents were obtained and assembled to evidence that the sourcing funds originated from personal income, property sales, and inheritance. This was buttressed by banking records evidencing the lawful transfer of the monies from a financial institution abroad to the United States for the resulting business purchase. A comprehensive response to the Request for Evidence was prepared and submitted which thoroughly addressed USCIS’ concerns.

Background: The client received a denial filed through prior legal counsel for L-1A classification for a critical employee as a multinational executive. Unsatisfied with prior counsel, the client sought a review of the case denial and a second opinion given a pressing business need to relocate the employee to the United States.
My work: A review of the previously filed petition revealed that it was more appropriate to classify the employee as a multinational manager rather than a multinational executive. A new L-1A petition was promptly prepared accordingly and filed under expedited processing with new evidence to properly establish the employee’s professional duties and responsibilities.
